Notes

  2. Windows Vista has undergone basic testing and validation, but we currently recommend using Windows XP or Windows 7, as the preferred operating system.
  3. Supported as a 32-bit application running in the 64-bit operating system.
  4. License configuration limitations.
  5. FE Solver supported as a 64-bit application.
  6. Required: Windows XP Professional SP2.
  7. Recommended: Windows 2000 Professional SP4.
  8. Support included for Intel® EM64T compatible processors.

Computer and Software Requirements:

RAM

  • Minimum: 1GB RAM
    • Basic models for durability analysis 
  • Recommended: 2GB or more
    • Models including FE Components
    • NVH analysis
  • Very Large Models: X64 processor with 6GB or more
    • Multiple large FE components
    • Complex models with large duty cycles
    • Complex NVH analyses
    • Models that exceed the process size limit of 32 bit architecture

  • A certified OpenGL workstation graphics card and driver.

CPU

  • Minimum: 2GHz x86
  • Recommended: 2.5Ghz + x86 or x64 based processor
  • NVH & Large FEA analysis: 2.5Ghz + x64 based processor, 4+ cores
