5th European Technology Conference, 24 & 25 September, Warwick, UK
The Romax 5th European Technology Conference which took place in September 2008 in Warwick, UK was a huge success as rated by 100% of the attendees that gave feedback. The theme of the event was 'saving energy through efficient design, analysis and optimisation'. which attracted representatives from the automotive, off-highway, truck and wind industries.

A keynote presentation opened the conference from Professor Berthold Schlecht from the Technical University of Dresden, on 'Dimensioning of drive systems and their components on the basis of accurate dynamic load calculation'. Key individuals from Alstom Transport, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation and JCB Transmissions also gave informative presentations.
Adding to this, Romax experts delivered insights into a variety of subjects including reliability, gearbox efficiency calculations, drivetrain dynamics, hybrid, NVH, advanced bearing analysis methods, wind turbine design standards and transmission testing and development.
On the evening of day one, Romax took all the delegates for a medieval themed dinner at the prestigious Warwick Castle. This was a most enjoyable and interesting evening which gave delegates a unique glimpse into English history.
In addition to the Romax and guest presentations on day two, delegates were given the opportunity to join roundtable discussions allowing delegates to talk more in depth to Romax experts on a variety of issues.
