Wind energy engineers and commercial specialists from Romax’s wind energy team will be presenting at a unique seminar hosted by the American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) at this year’s Gear Expo event. The seminar aims to provide gear manufacturers with an understanding of the opportunities available to companies who wish to enter the wind turbine gearbox supply chain.
Topics will include market briefings, technology overviews and practical case studies on how manufacturers have successfully entered the wind turbine gearbox supply chain and will focus on the medium to large scale turbine market. It is anticipated that the seminar will provide an opportunity for business decision makers and technical managers that wish to gain an insight on the wind energy and the place of gear manufacturers within the industry.
As a technical solutions provider, Romax Technology are experienced in the design and analysis of gearboxes, bearings and drivetrain systems for the wind energy, automotive, hybrid, aerospace and off-highway industries and hope to be able to share their commercial and technical knowledge with seminar attendees.
‘Following President Obama’s commitments to the develop of wind energy in the US, it is essential that gear manufacturers understand the drivers, technical challenges and demands of this industry if a strong local supply chain is to be developed,’ says Andy Poon, Director of Wind Energy at Romax. ‘In collaboration with the AGMA, we hope to provide gear manufacturers with knowledge they need to seize this opportunity in wind energy.’
Romax will also be exhibiting at the event at booth number 1036 where delegates will have the opportunity to talk to Romax technical specialists. If you are an existing Romax customer and wish to meet up with our experts, or you have a problem you need to find a solution for, or you simply wish to know more about the Romax experience, just visit our booth.
