All delegates are responsible for coordinating their own travel to Hangzhou but Romax has the following advice for all members attending the IEC meeting.
There are limited international flights direct to Hangzhou, but there are good domestic flight connections from Beijing and Hong Kong. For most delegates, this will be the most convenient route to Hangzhou.
Alternatively, delegates could fly into Shanghai and travel by road or rail to Hangzhou. The rail service is good, but does require some local knowledge. A taxi from Shanghai to Hangzhou will take around 2 hours 15 minutes and will cost around 1000RMB.
Taxis are available for hire from Hangzhou airport, and the journey to Shangri-La Hotel will take around 25 minutes and cost around 120RMB. Alternatively the Shangri-La Hotel can arrange transfers from the airport at a cost of 400RMB – please liaise directly with the hotel to book this service.
The meetings will take place within the hotel reducing the need for additional travel. Romax will organise local transport for additional programme activities – more information will follow once the programme has been confirmed.
