Romax to showcase low carbon and efficiency technology at JSAE

Romax Technology will be attending the JSAE Automotive Engineering Exposition in Yokohama Japan in May this year. Romax, as leading drivetrain consultants will be present at this event for the fourth year running and for 2010 will be showcasing our latest developments in low carbon, hybrid and efficiency technology.

We will be hosting a stand on the UK Pavilion where there will be opportunities for our potential and existing customers to discuss the latest applications of our unique software, RomaxDesigner, in meeting the growing demands for efficiency within the automotive industry. During the three day event there will also be an opportunity for visitors to our stand to listen to a presentation entitled: Design for Efficiency which will be given each day at 10.30 am.

The presentation will discuss how, historically, gear design technology has limited engineers to consider either factors like durability or noise in isolation, but how technology now needs to consider the efficiency factor as well as NVH and durability simultaneously . Having already tackled durability and NVH, Romax will discuss how we are now focusing on efficiency within the design process for transmissions. The presentation will also look at recent developments in RomaxDesigner and how it allows manufacturers to improve efficiency without having to compromise on durability and noise .

Romax’s capabilities can enable manufacturers to see the combined effect that individual components within a driveline are having – something that is simply not available in the current market. In hybrid vehicles, for example, manufacturers can use this tool to identify which component to prioritise for modification, understand the most productive way to modify the component and ultimately improve the fuel consumption of a vehicle.

“Low carbon and efficiency technology will be the key theme for this year’s JSAE event and one which Romax is well placed to talk about. We have a lot of new consultancy and technological developments in this area that we are keen to share with the Japanese Automotive industry,” explains Younsu Park, Director for Transportation at Romax Technology. “This event provides the perfect opportunity for us to interact with key people within the automotive engineering community.”

Visitors will also be able to discuss any of Romax’s services in more detail with key members of staff including Koichi Hioki, Japan Business Manager, Joowon Kim, Engineering Manager and Hiroshi Koyama, Assistant Manager of Engineering.
