Romax Technology will be attending the JSAE Automotive Engineering Exposition in Yokohama Japan later this month. For the third year running the leading independent drivetrain consultants will be present at the event and for 2009 they will be showcasing their latest developments in hybrid engineering services and efficiency capabilities.
Queens Award Winners Romax will be hosting two stands on the UK Pavilion where there will be opportunities for potential and existing customers to discuss the unique capabilities that Romax have been working on in the hybrid market. Having tackled durability and NVH, Romax are now working on balancing these and focusing on the design process and efficiency of transmissions. They have entered the hybrid market with their detailed energy flow analysis and a full range of unique capabilities that they intend to highlight at this year’s JSAE event.
Romax’s hybrid capabilities enable manufacturers to see the combined effect that individual components within a hybrid driveline are having on fuel consumption – something that is simply not available in the current market. Manufacturers can use this tool to identify which component to prioritise for modification, understand the most productive way to modify the component and ultimately improve the fuel consumption of a hybrid vehicle.
Romax has also co-authored a paper with Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, entitled Gear shift quality prediction with a dynamic model, which will be presented by engineers from Mitsubishi during the event.
“We recognise the importance of attending an event such as JSAE in order to promote our services to the Japanese Automotive market,” explained Younsu Park, Director for Transportation from Romax. “It provides us with an essential opportunity for us to interact with the relevant people within the automotive engineering community. We hope to successfully promote our hybrid engineering services to the Asian automotive market, network with our existing and potential customers and really show our commitment to the Japanese automotive market.”
During the three day event there will be an opportunity for visitors to the Romax stand to listen to a presentation entitled: Hybrid Engineering Services from Romax Technology, which will be given each day. Visitors will also be able to discuss any of Romax’s services in more detail with key members of staff including Koichi Hioki, Business Manager West Japan, Mickey Saruwatari, Business Manager East Japan, Jay Yazawa, Representative Director and Minsu Kim, Japan Engineering Manager.
