Wafangdian Bearing Group Co. Ltd (ZWZ), China's largest bearing manufacturer, has signed a contract with Romax Technology to purchase their innovative software RomaxDesigner which will support ZWZ’s bearing design analysis for wind energy applications. In addition to purchasing the design focused software suite, which provides modelling, sizing and system flexibility analysis to enable rapid evaluation of concepts at the first stages of the design process, ZWZ will also receive bespoke training from the UK based technical consultancy in the use of the software for ZWZ’s key engineers.
The new contract came as a result of the strong relationship built up between the two companies over a period continued interaction. “Working with Romax Technology will allow us to develop our bearings and take into account a huge amount of different factors within our design. The simulation and analysis tool will prove invaluable and give us confidence in the design,” said Qu Rongjun, Director of Technical Centre from ZWZ. “Romax has specialist experience bearings and their software reflects this, which makes us confident that RomaxDesigner will enable us to continue the development of our wind turbine bearings.”
Xiaobing Hu, Business Development Manager for Wind Energy said, “We are pleased that ZWZ has chosen our software to support their bearing design analysis and are keen to work alongside their engineers to assist them in supplying high quality bearings into the wind energy supply chain”
Romax Engineers will travel to ZWZ Head Quarters in China in the New Year to begin the advanced training for the manufacturer’s engineers.
